Zoomorph is based on the idea to design a bench as a piece of furniture that is inspired by biomorphology and imbues a sense of movement in a static object.
The athletic qualities of animal legs are translated into sculptural form. Beechwood limbs splay from the cowhide seat, muscular and curved at the top they taper to dainty brass hooves, creating a piece of furniture in tension that invites tactile exploration and looks as if it could walk away.
Zoomorph has been designed by ‘Patalab and crafted by artisan joiner Daniel Wolsegger in the Austrian Alps.
